This electrical circuit cut and paste has students sorting through five different electrical circuits, their names, and their definitions: complete or closed circuit, series circuit, parallel circuit, open or incomplete circuit, and electromagnet.
This product can be differentiated in several ways:
1. Students can sort all the definitions, pictures, and names on a recording sheet.
2. Students can use the recording sheet that already has the pictures and just sort the names and definitions for less of a challenge.
3. Students can use the recording sheet that has the definitions blank and write their own definitions.
4. Students can use the recording sheet that has the pictures and have to write their own names and definitions for the most challenge.
This could easily be placed in a science center for your students or used as an assessment of what they know!
*Please keep in mind that some of the pictures might work for multiple definitions (ex. a parallel circuit that is complete). However, for students to be able to place ALL the pictures in the correct places, they must think of the main circuit the picture is showing.
