This product includes materials for a page for a presentation/poster, a graphic organizer for students to complete, or a foldable, and a board with pieces to match, for a center.
I originally created this chart for my Direct Instruction Physics Class (Self-Contained Special Education Students). This product includes a colorful chart of the types of forces, including: Gravitational, Normal, Friction, Tension, Spring, and Buoyancy. It also includes a blank template of the chart in black and white, and a filled in copy of the chart in black and white.
I used the colorful chart on my Smart Board, and put boxes over the answers and pulled them to the sides as I explained each term and gave examples, and had the students fill in the chart as I went along. This product is saved as a PDF and is 14 pages long.
There are 4 versions for the foldable/interactive notebook activity.
1. Students cut and glue all of the pieces onto the foldable template.
2. Students write all of the information except for the name.
3. Students write all of the information except for the name and symbol.
4. Students write the name and symbol of the force, and the direction, and when it is present is already completed.
The matching board for a center includes a colorful board with the headers: Name, Direction, When is it present?, and Symbol. It also includes an answer key, and a page to cut out the pieces so that they can be sorted onto the game board. I suggest laminating for durability, and future use.
