Want to familiarize your students with the different categories of questions that will be asked on the PARCC test? Give your students strategies for the different categories of questions on the PARCC.
This is the second set of notes categorizing 4 types of text structure questions found on the PARCC: Organization, Sequence, Development, and Author’s Purpose. Each set of notes includes 3 sample questions and strategies for each category, as well as targeted key words/ phrases to look for. I created these for a hands-on/ exploratory scramble activity for my special education students (ADHD, LBLD, PDD-NOS, ASD) to become more familiar with the range and scope of questions on the PARCC.
In addition, each set of notes includes a table that can be cut out for a hands-on categorizing scramble activity (my directions included.)
