Description
This set of four colorful posters focuses on the four types of sentences: declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory. It also includes two additional activity options.
The first activity is an interactive notebook entry. Students cut out flaps and glue them into their notebooks. On top of each flap, they write a definition and draw the corresponding punctuation mark. (For example, for the interrogative flap, they draw a large question mark in the middle of the flap, and write "question" at the bottom of the flap.) Beneath each flap, they write example sentences.
The second activity is a sorting activity. Cut out the 27 sentence strips and have your students sort them into declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sets.
