Product Description
Save $$$ when you purchase Types of Sentences Bundle!

***Updated September 2015***

Now includes Statement and Question posters to hang up in your classroom to help remind students what a statement is and what a question is!

Help your students begin to distinguish between a statement and a question with these Common Core aligned centers!

There are two different activity options included in this pack: A scoot around the room (where students search for sentence cards placed around the classroom and determine if they are statements or questions) or a sort that can be used at a station (where students sort cards into two categories: statement or question). In addition, there are two sets of cards included: one set with punctuation (so students can begin to pay attention to the period or question mark) and one set without punctuation (if your students are ready to really start thinking about what the sentence is either asking or telling). This is a total of 96 sentence cards for you to choose from! Please make sure to read the CLICKABLE Table of Contents before you begin printing, so you’ll know exactly which pages you want to print and use, depending on your students and their needs.

Also included are teacher directions (which can be useful for parent volunteers), student directions, recording sheets, and answer keys for all activities!

I created these centers to use with my 2nd grade students at the beginning of the school year, although they can also be used by 1st graders and 3rd graders, depending on their skill levels and needs!

Finally, these activities align with the 2nd grade Wonders series: Unit 1, Week 1 grammar skill {statements & questions}. However, you DO NOT need to be using the Wonders curriculum to enjoy and use these centers!

Do your students need more help with types of sentences!? Make sure to check out the Command or Exclamation pack too!
