Product Description
This a very useful manipulative handout to help middle school students understand Spring and Neap tides. Students color the handout and attach the provided Earths using brads. Students then label/shade in the lunar phases associated with each tide and identify areas of high tide/low tide. It very nicely demonstrates why we have 2 high tides and 2 low tides per day at 6 hour intervals as well as demonstrating why spring tides have a greater tidal range than neap tides!

TEKS: 8.7C - relate the position of the Moon and Sun to their effect on ocean tides.
