The ULTIMATE SIGHT WORDS {COLOR WORD Series} is a multi-sensory, hands-on, phonemic approach to sight word instruction, comprehension, and fluency. It is also a cumulative approach—only words that have been used on previous pages, in previous series, and high frequency nouns that are part of this series, are found on each page. Once a word has been taught, it will appear on subsequent pages to ensure your students retain it. {Click PREVIEW to see all that is included}.

What is included:
***Welcome your students to the world and words of color with My Book of Colors*** see the thumbnail picture

***Introduce the Sight Words with Color Sight Word***
Your students' first interaction with each sight word will include:
--COLORING the sounds in the sight word (Sound Mapping)
--SPEAKING the sounds—dotting each sound as they say it
--STAMPING the letters in the sight word
--TRACING the letters
--SPOTTING the sight word from various word options
--WRITING the sight word in text frames
--FINDING and circling it in context
--SELECTING and coloring items that are that color word
--BUILDING the sight word with letter blocks
--and USING the rest of the letter blocks to build a noun of that color and then DRAWING it (this is completed on the back of each page).

***Contextualize and Color***
The My Color Sentence sheets help your students put each sight word in context. They will cut the words apart, unscramble them and build a sentence. After gluing the sentence on the sheet they will write it and then color that part of the picture.

My Fruity Colors reviews the fruit and nouns that correspond to each color word. Your students will color all of the real-life examples that are the same color as the fruit. They will also practice writing the color word, fruit and colorful nouns.

The Sight Word Crafts and Activities are unique to the words your students are studying and can usually be completed with the resources and instructions in this packet plus cardstock, scissors, glue, and crayons.

***Comprehension, Fluency and Assessment***
Each sight word has a Comprehension & Fluency sheet that verifies your student’s knowledge of the sight word in context. Only words that have been taught on previous pages--or series, or high frequency nouns in this series are found on each page. Your students will:
--Sound map the word
--Write it
--Read it in context; dot the #1
--Write it again
--Read again and choose the picture that best demonstrates the sentence (comprehension) and glue it on; dot the camera
--Read sentence a third time for fluency and dot the #3

You can also use these activities to assess your students' comprehension:
