SUN, WIND, WATER, AND WEATHER (PART A) includes the first seven lessons of a twelve lesson unit. The remaining five lessons can be found in SUN, WIND, WATER, AND WEATHER (PART B). PART A gives students the opportunity to explore how the sun produces the energy that makes Earth unique among all the planets of our solar system. They will learn how light can be converted to useful energy, how energy from inside Earth reaches the surface, and how do different surface materials absorb and radiate heat. They will demonstrate how the differential heating of Earth's surface powers the wind, and how Earth's rotation effects the general circulation of the atmosphere. STUDENT WORKSHEETS and an EDUCATOR GUIDE are included in this download. The UNIT TEST for assessing student performance after completing this unit are included in SUN, WIND, WATER, AND WEATHER (PART B).
