Description
This lesson will teach your U.S. Government students all about the Constitutional Amendment Process. The resource includes a presentation (Power Point and Google Slides™) and student notes, along with an engaging activity where students will create their own amendment and vote to ratify! Students will learn key content standards, such as the methods to amend the Constitution, examples of informal amendments, and famous examples of both passed and failed amendments. The activity will get them to critically think about what they would change about our government system and will walk them through a voting process to mirror ratification. It's a great addition to your Foundations of American Democracy or Constitution unit!
This resource was designed to be used with AP® U.S. Government or on level U.S. Government classes.
