In this activity, students become China or the US and have to sit down with the other side and negotiate a trade deal. They must deal with contemporary problems like devaluing of currency, buying oil from Iran, tariffs on tires, budget deficits, and a whole lot more. Students conclude by presenting their contract to an audience trying to convince them that they made a good deal. The result is a lot of unpredictable critical thinking and great discussion. Enjoy!
