This 92 slide presentation covers the entire United States Constitution and explains it in terms that are easier to understand than the original text. Three worksheets are included.
For my class, I pass out a copy of the text of the constitution, read it part by part with my students, and use this presentation to help explain the meaning. I usually spend about two weeks covering the constitution and the amendments in my class.
There are three worksheets included. The first worksheet is 38 questions and goes along with the presentation.
The other two worksheets are review worksheets that I have used with my students in the past. The first review worksheet is 15 questions and covers the introduction and Article One. The second review worksheet is 16 questions and covers Article Two through Article Seven. Some of the questions that are on the review worksheets are also on the worksheet that covers the presentation.
The presentation includes:
Overview: 13 slides
Article 1 - The Legislative Branch: 38 slides
Article 2 - The Executive Branch: 17 slides
Article 3 - The Judicial Branch: 7 slides
Article 4 - The States: 5 slides
Article 5 - Amendments: 3 slides
Article 6 - Debts, Supremacy, Oaths: 4 slides
Article 7 - Ratification: 2 slides
Due to size I split the Constitution and the amendments into two separate presentations. This presentation mentions there are 27 amendments to the Constitution and the first ten amendments are known as the Bill of Rights, but does not cover the amendments in-depth. The presentation covering the amendments can be found here: Amendments
If you only want the constitution worksheet, it can be purchased separately here: Constitution Worksheet.
The Constitution and amendments presentations can also be purchased as a bundle for a discount here: Constitution + Amendments Bundle
