MizQ and the Productive Peacock have put together an engaging Interactive Notebook vocabulary activity to use a the beginning and end of a unit/lesson about the US Constitution. The activity would be easily incorporated into any lesson in a US History, government, civics, or even an English class studying the Constitution or the founding of our country. This activity can also set up a system for how you will handle vocabulary for the rest of the year!
This Interactive Notebook page has students writing student friendly definitions and then expanding their vocabulary knowledge through visual representations, similar words, and/or sentence construction. It is an activity to use to introduce the Constitution and has a suggested end of unit/lesson follow-up RIGHT HAND page activity at the bottom of the page. This can be student directed or teacher directed as a lesson.
This file contains three versions of the handout - 1 with US Constitution words provided, 1 without US Constitution words, and 1 for vocabulary use with any unit. It also contains a teacher's guide. This product would be a great activity to use as a bellringer/Do Now, sub day, or student led activity.
This file is a PDF and requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. Please ensure you have the proper software before purchasing the file.
