This document provides a list of items for a US History classroom timeline that can be printed, cut out, and placed on a wall in your classroom to be used as a reference point during the school year. I have included recommended image links but for copyright reasons, I cannot add the images themselves to this document. The images can also be printed and placed on the timeline. I have had students bring in images and artifacts over the years that I have also added to my timeline such as a WWII newspaper from VE Day and election buttons.
The timeline is most appropriate for a general US History 11th grade classroom but it can be easily modified for AP US History or middle school US History.
I have also included color coding recommendations for social, political, and economic categorization of items on the timeline if you want to add the colors as a background to each item.
Additionally, there is a formatted list of all of the presidents that is available to print.
● List of important historical events with dates and image links that correspond to the date.
● Printable list that is already formatted so it can be easily cut out and placed on the timeline.
● A list of presidents and the dates of their time in office.
● All items are editable
Materials Needed: Color Printing Capabilities (preferred), Duct tape for the timeline itself, and a stapler or pins to place the items on the timeline.
