Product Description
This lesson will not only provide you with a web quest but also discussion and extension lesson activities. The bulk of this lesson requires students to read information from a primary source found online as a means of building their background knowledge about the topic. Students will show their understanding by answering various open-ended questions related to the KKK.

At the end of this lesson, students are expected to answer the following questions:

● Compare and contrast the “Stands for” and Stands Against” views of the Ku Klux Klan.
● Explain why so many people were willing to join such an organization as the KKK.
● Discuss the racial tension that occurred during the Civil War and Reconstruction era predominantly in the South.
● Discuss why the Klan resurged in the 1920s.

This is a perfect lesson for any educator wanting their students to use various resources. This will also give you the opportunity to get caught up on grading because students will actively participate in an individual learning activity.
