This 32-slide presentation is designed to be an overview of the major events and consequences of the Age of Immigration in US History. The main topics covered include:
-Ellis and Angel Islands
-Adjusting to Life in America (ghettos, jobs, assimilation, etc...)
-Reaction to Immigration (Chinese Exclusion Act, etc...)
-Specific Ethnic Immigrants (Mexican, German, etc..)
Also included at the end of the presentation is a brief 5-slide overview of the Gilded Age (Spoils System, Civil Service Commission, etc...) which can be used in conjunction with the Immigration Overview Notes.
