This lesson is designed to last for an hour of class time or longer. Students will be provided with background information about consumer spending. They will show what they know by completing engaging classroom activities and answering various depths of knowledge of questions related to the lesson.
At the end of this lesson, students are expected to answer the following questions:
● What are the major categories of consumer spending?
● Explain how consumer spending has changed over the last 50 years
For this lesson students will participate in a classroom discussion related to the topic of the lesson. Teachers will be given information and strategies on how to make this discussion engaging and relatable.This will be followed up by a classroom activity that will require students break up into pairs and put their creative juices together.
