This lesson is designed to last for an hour of class time or longer. Students will be provided with background information about US and China relations from 1968-1980 They will show what they know by completing engaging classroom activities and answering various depths of knowledge of questions related to the lesson.
Students will be asked to break up into pairs and research a specific topic they will be given. This topic will be a certain period of time that they will us to include on a classroom timeline describing the relationship between China and the United States. This lesson also features an extension, closing, and project activity for teachers to us in the future.
