This project helps student compare and contrast how various groups in America have experienced prejudice throughout American history. The project has students use a variety of methods to analyze how different groups were treated (visual, writing and argumentative skills, historical thinking skills). Not only are these important skills for students to have the topic is extremely relevant to American history currently.
Would be great as an end of unit or end of year assessment showing their ability to analyze trends across time. The rubric used to grade the project is provided in the document.
