Product Description
This is the 2nd Semester Exam I give my 7th/8th grade students in United States History. There are 2 parts to the test. The first part is 100 Multiple Choice/Matching Questions. These questions are very basic and to the point. Since I do 100 questions I like to keep them quick and simple. There are extra questions at the bottom that you could add on that include topics on Cold War/Vietnam/Civil Rights.

The test covers from the Civil War- end of World War 2.

The 2nd part of the test is the written response. There are a total of 10 different prompts. I make my students write on 2 prompts total, but give them 4 options. The 10 writing prompts cover the following topics:

• Main causes and reasons on WW1
• WW2 (Battles, people, Holocaust)
• Causes of Civil War
• Great Depression
• Technology of World War 1
• Vietnam
• Concentration Camps
• Anne Frank
• Civil Rights Movement
• Immigration in the US between 1880-1920
I make the Multiple Choice worth 50% of the grade and written portion 50% of the grade, but you can do it however you would like.

There is also a 96-question study guide to go along with the test, if you wanted to add on the questions on Cold War, Vietnam and Civil Rights, there are also questions created these so you can add them on to the study guide.. This study guide matched the questions that the students would see on the test. I always have the students complete this before the test so they are prepared. Depending on time I would either allow them class time or have them do it for homework.
