This is the third of three power points that can be used to prepare students for their state testing in social studies. Standards covered include the Cold War, Pop Culture, Civil Rights, International Alliances, 1992 to Present, and the War on Terrorism
Reviewing in one of the following ways is sure to interest students much more than workbooks!
1. Group Competition - Place students in groups of four or five. One group at a time is asked a question. If they answer correctly, then they receive a point. Then it is the next group's turn. The group with the most points wins.
2. Social Studies Baseball - Team one is the 'outfield' and team two is 'at bat'. Students at bat take a question as each one comes to home plate. If they get it right, then they proceed to first base. If they get it incorrect, then it is an out. The team with the most points at the end wins a prize.
3. Individual Practice - Students can write the correct answer on a piece of paper before the answer is shown.
