Your students will love learning about the Golden Gate Bridge, the Gateway Arch, the Grand Canyon, and more, with these U.S. Landmarks Postcards.
They will write postcards to their friends and family, pretending as if they are visiting any of the 30 famous landmarks from around the United States. This can help them to research the landmarks and the area in which they are located, and to synthesize the information into small and meaningful sentences. They can also work on their persuasive writing skills by trying to persuade their friends to visit their landmarks!
Each postcard can be written, fully colored, cut out, and glued together. They can be hung on a bulletin board, glued into interactive notebooks, or completed and passed around individually.
The landmarks included are: The Alamo, Mount Rushmore, Cloud Gate, the Gateway Arch, Hoover Dam, the Space Needle, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, the Grand Canyon, the Empire State Building, the White House, the Freedom Towers, the Las Vegas Strip, the Hollywood Sign, the St. Louis Cathedral, the Liberty Bell, the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, Old Faithful, the Delicate Arch, Monticello, Fort Sumter, Graceland, Crater Lake, Wright Brothers National Memorial, Kennedy Space Center, the High Trestle Trail Bridge, Balanced Rock, Mystic Seaport, and the Henry Ford Museum.
