This lesson is designed to last for an hour of class time or longer. Students will be provided with background information about the Iran Crisis. They will show what they know by completing engaging classroom activities.
At the end of the lesson, students are expected to answer the following questions:
● Describe the events leading up the Iran Hostage Crisis
● What was President Carter’s response to the Iran Hostage Crisis?
● How did the Iran Hostage Crisis end?
Students will be challenged to break up into pairs and create a newspaper related to the Iran Hostage crisis. This lesson plan is loaded with content. Teachers will be given handouts, lesson extensions, and activity and project ideas.
