This lesson is designed to last for an hour of class time or longer. Students will be provided with background information about Quakers in America. They will show what they know by completing engaging classroom activities and answering various depths of knowledge of questions related to the lesson.
Students will be asked to answer a series of question that include
-Who were the Quakers
-What was their role American history?
-How did the Quakers lead the Anti-Slavery movement?
They will follow this up by breaking up into groups and discussing their answers with their classmates and create a poster. This lesson also features lesson extensions and an engaging closing activity.
