States, Capitals, and Map Skills Chips
Included are 60 "chips" to use for practicing and assessing your students' knowledge of the US states, capitals, map skills, and other general information about the US map.
I made these chips for the purpose of printing onto a sheet of sticker paper, cutting them out, and then applying to plastic poker chips. While discussing US states, you can pass out a chip to each student or have them draw from a bag. They are made to fit onto a standard plastic poker chip, but I cannot guarantee they will fit all chips.
Other ideas for using these chips:
• print onto cardstock, laminate, and attach to popsicle sticks to draw from for practicing US state facts.
• print, laminate, and attach magnets to the back to use with dry erase boards or chalkboards.
• Students draw a chip from a bag and then use it to practice their knowledge of using atlases, encyclopedias, or internet resources, by finding the answer!
• Use these chips for playing different types of knowledge games, such as Jeopardy.
• And many more!
