PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Stated below are the standards this lesson/activity addresses:

Standard 4-4: The student will demonstrate an understanding of the beginnings of America as a nation and the establishment of the new government.

4-4.5 Compare the roles and
accomplishments of early leaders in the development of the new nation, including George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, John Marshall, and James Madison.

This lesson/activity includes a pretest (embedded into the PowerPoint presentation) along with a post assessment, role cards to assign to students in each group to encourage cooperative learning, and a graphic organizer along with resources that students can view to help them gain more information about the early leader they are assigned to research.

The entire layout of the activity, what to do, and what to print out is ALL laid out in the lesson plan included in the zip file, BUT if you have any questions about the activity, please do not hesitate to contact me!
