Whether you are teaching 8th US History or 12th grade US Government, impeachment is all the talk towards the end of the year, especially now. This WEIGH THE EVIDENCE: activity is a FANTASTIC deep dive into what impeachment is, values voters use to make decisions and the findings of the Ukrainian Scandal. Students will using these steps to decide whether President Trump should be censured, impeached or not impeached just as American voters and members of Congress.

This activity is aligned with CA SS Standards and Frameworks and CC SS Writing Standards and easily spans 4 - 5 days. It will allowing students to develop their understanding of the impeachment process, their own beliefs and of the biggest current event of our day: The Russia Investigation. Finally, there are a slew of citations, videos and podcasts students or teachers can use to either prepare for this activity or deepen their understanding.

One more thing! As always, I provide editable Word and PPT docs, so that you teacher creator can continue improving or adapting this activity!
