Ukulele Peer Evaluation Lesson Plan and Rubric – Unit 1

Students can assess each other on posture, hand positioning, tempo, note accuracy, instrument positioning, and rhythm/strumming pattern.

Empowering the students to evaluate other students' performances gives them the opportunity to understand the importance of all the good habits we try to reinforce during practice.

This simple rubric transformed the vocabulary my students used to give each other feedback. Students adopted the vocabulary from this rubric and used it in everyday music room language.
