Ultimate Algebra for Windows PC (Trial Version)
Ultimate Algebra was developed as a simple, easy to use and functional tool to be incorporated either into the classroom or at home. Ultimate Algebra is a highly visual learning resource and is intended to engage learners and help them develop both their understanding of algebra and build up their confidence in regard to problem solving.
Ultimate Algebra is a question resource tool enabling users to practice fundamental algebraic concepts with questions being generated in real time. The number of questions is unlimited.
The Basic Algebraic Concepts covered include:
1. Substitution into Terms & Expressions
2. Simplifying Expressions (Available in the Full Version)
3. Expanding Single and Double Brackets (Available in the Full Version)
4. Solving Linear & Quadratic Equations (Available in the Full Version)
5. Plotting Graphs (Available in the Full Version)
6. X-Intercepts (Available in the Full Version)
The intuitive user interface was specifically designed to enable the software to be used effectively and quickly. The layout is self-explanatory and within a few minutes you should be up and running. How you use this software is completely up to you and your teaching style, if you are a teacher.
Additionally, I have incorporated additional features such as a countdown timer, progress indicator and a level selection tool, which can be tailored to meet different ability levels.
The Key Features of the Software
✎ Easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI).
The User Interface and layout have been designed with simplicity in mind.
✎ Real-Time Question Generator
All the questions are generated using our real time question generator. This is a clever little algorithm that enables Ultimate Algebra to generate an infinite number of similar, but different questions, on a specific topic. This is ideal for repetitive question tasks to reinforce key concept areas in algebra.
✎ 4 Levels of Difficulty
Built into the software is the Difficulty Level Tool. There are four individual levels that can be set. These range from Easy (Level 1) to Hard (Level 4).
✎ Active Assessment of 6 Key Algebraic Topics
There are 6 basic topics in algebra that can be selected for study and cover a wide range of coverage
✎ Multiple Question Sets
The question number control has various question set modes. 10 is the maximum number of questions per set allowed. This is based on experience where we have found that having 10 questions per set leads to maximum learning efficient and minimum distraction. Also this enables the learner to work quickly through a specific topic.
✎ Self Timer Function
The Self-Timer tool can be used to assess a specific topic under timed conditions. There are various time setting and an unlimited time mode.
✎ Linear and Quadratic Equation Types
Ultimate Algebra enables the user to set the questions based either on Linear or Quadratic Expressions (or both for mixed type questions).
✎ Answers given at the end
Answers to the incorrectly attempted questions are given at the end of each question set.
✎ Real Time Scoring & Progress Indicator
Scores are shown in real-time together with an in-built progress indicator. This is particularly useful when working under timed conditions.
