Have you tried to use a word wall in the past?
Do you feel like it is falling short of your needs?
And the needs of your students?
For the past three years, I have attempted a different format of a word wall each year. UGH I couldn’t keep up with it… I would let it sit there, in the corner, unattended. Sometimes, my students didn’t even know that it existed.
I created these materials as a way to explicitly use my word wall in our phonics and word study instruction! These word wall materials are a compilation of sight words and word family materials.
I created this for my first grade classroom but they could easily be used in kindergarten and second grade, as well!
