This product contains a SMART Board/white board presentation lesson as well as the sheet music for the arrangement of "Un Elefante". In this lesson students will explore singing songs of various cultures, demonstrate pulse, read rhythms, perform an ostinato pattern, play unpitched and pitched percussion, play the broken chord bordun, and they will also experience playing a chord change. Students will also be learn about the whole rest. This song also includes an introduction and coda which the teacher can play on the contra bass xylophone, giving students an experience with introduction and coda as well. This song is cited as a Mexican folk song, but it is known throughout Latin America in various renditions. This lesson is wonderful for use during Hispanic Heritage Month or anytime through the year.
