Students will be assigned one of the Mexican cities on the map (included in download).
They will then make a beautiful brochure to lure tourists to that city.
• Include pictures and descriptions of three tourist attractions in the city.
• Identify three restaurants in the city that they'd recommend (include contact info. such as websites, phone numbers, addresses).
• List the names of three hotels include contact info.) and the price per night in dollars AND pesos. They will need to go to a currency conversion website to calculate the exchange rate.
• Decorate the brochure so that it looks GREAT! No sloppiness!!!
• Fill out the postcard on the reverse side of the page (IN SPANISH) to someone the student knows. Include a greeting, date (written out), where the student "is", what tourist attractions they like, say two things they're going to eat (an interesting Mexican food -- i.e., NOT tacos...list something authentic and unusual), a couple additional sentences about the city they're visiting, and a closing. Find a fairly current Mexican postage stamp on the internet. Print it out, color it, and glue it to the postcard.
Finally, they will give a short presentation in SPANISH on the tourist destination to the class.
