So many times, students and parents just expect his/her son or daughter to just start speaking the language "yesterday" but that is not going to happen unless we involve them. This is an assignment that I created just this school year to get students aware, educated and involved about the importance of speaking Spanish AND presenting "themselves" in a situation in which they may have to show creativity in order to be awarded an awesome entry level position that involves their own ability to stand out from the competition.
Students create a 1-2 minute video in which they introduce themselves using the basics of introduction, mentioning where they are from, describing themselves as a person, discussing what they like to do and finally and graciously wrapping it up.
Students must use Adobe Spark Video, Splice Application or the Viva Video or any video/voice over slide show program that you like.
My students LOVED doing this and it is a great confidence builder and means for you to help them impress everyone with their ability to communicate in a second language.
