PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In English Language Arts, students have been reading and analyzing Laura Hillenbrand’s novel Unbroken which is a World War II story of survival, resilience and redemption. While reading, students have unraveled the traumatic experiences and hardships prisoners of war experience in Japanese internment camps. While reading, students have been able to understand and make inferences about Japanese internment camps during WWII. This task requires students to pretend they are a prisoner of War in Japan or a Japanese-American (like Mine Okubo) interned. Handwrite two one page journal entries describing your experience in the Japanese internment camps.
