Product Description
Uncle Tom's Cabin Novel Project has been designed in a brochure format to give students a different approach to an assignment (rather than a typical worksheet). Teachers can purchase this project in PDF Format or as a Publisher document for editing purposes.

Completion of this project will allow students to have a better and more personal understanding of slavery-era America. Students should be required to work on this project simultaneously, in conjunction with, the reading and study of the novel.

Students are required to: 1) Create a 15-25 slide PowerPoint Presentation in which they explain a specific person or event in history related to the novel, the Abolitionist Movement, or a specifc theme of the novel; and 2) Choose from 5 different creative tasks such as organizing a collection of slavery stories or hymns and prayers, designing Uncle Tom's "actual" cabin, or illustrating artwork depicting slavery, or other novel themes; and finally, 3) Orally presenting both components of the project to the teacher and class.
