This is a fun way for students to remember the inside-outs and the turn-arounds of math facts in a fact family. Elephants, the largest animals in the circus, are the “reminders” for the placement of the largest numbers in the facts of a fact family. There are “elephant” worksheets for all fact families having sums and differences to and from 10, plus all of the smaller fact families under 10. More practice with fact families is provided in the “Big Top” pages. Once again, a little scaffolding is given with some number hints. Finally, the “Practice Makes Perfect” worksheets don’t have any scaffolding and all of the addition and subtraction facts that were in the previous fact families appear on these pages.
