This package contains everything you need for using Daily 5 and CAFE in your classroom!
Pages 4-8 are the “The students are…” “The teacher is…” posters for implementing the program.
Pages 9-13 are posters with each of the Daily 5 headings. These could be used on a bulletin board or on tables.
Pages 14-18 are the Daily 5 posters with the rules.
Pages 19-23 are small Daily 5 posters that could be used for labels on drawers and shelves where the supplies are kept. They could also be used for mini posters around the room.
Pages 24-27 are helpful posters that go along with Daily 5: I PICK, 3 Ways to Read a Book, Finding a Just Right Book, EEKK.
Page 28 contains five different bookmarks you can give to the students to ensure they are starting at different stations. Give each student a clothespin and they start at the top and work their way down. This also ensures they are doing each station. The next day they come back and start where they left off.
Page 29 is a student recording sheet where the student checks off which station they have done throughout the month. Then both the student and teacher can see what they are accomplishing.
Pages 30-31 is a teacher recording sheet where the teacher checks off what each student has done during the week. In color and black & white.
Page 32 is a student self-assessment for Daily 5. After a session, have the students complete the rubric and add their score on the bottom out of 12. They also tick off what they have done that day. I use this about once every two weeks.
Pages 33-36 are heading posters for CAFE.
Page 37 is a bonus “Discover a Love of Reading” poster.
Page 38 is a bonus Writing Motivation poster.
Page 39 is a bonus “We Love Writing!” poster.
Page 40 is a bonus “Writing Idea Center” poster. I place this above my center that is filled with writing prompts.
Page 41-46 are student labels for individual student book bins. There are six different ones so teachers can let students choose or can assign them based on guided reading groups or other criteria.
Pages 47-64 are lined paper for writing the CAFE goals as they are being taught. The 2 Sisters say the students get more out of the program if they write the goals down themselves, so there are plenty of backgrounds to choose from.
