Many students with language and learning disorders have difficulty understanding and using complex sentences. These students struggle to understand written material and oral information presented in all content areas. Fortunately, students can be taught how to use and understand complex sentences.

Students begin by learning to recognize independent and dependent clauses within sentences. Then, practice sentences are used to teach students to identify which event will happen first and which event will happen second. Answer pages are also provided which allow students to write their responses. Finally, pages are provided for student to create their own sentences using independent and dependent clauses.
