In this handout and worksheet, students will think about the last argument they had (this can be an in-person discussion or an on-line one). They will answer a few questions about the nature of the argument and how each side argued their point. On the second page students are given a definition of Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. They will then need to think about their argument and determine which method of persuasion was used. This assignment is great to use as an introduction to a unit focusing on persuasion and/or rhetoric.
