This is Part 2 of "Understanding Fractions", a multi-part Scaffolded fractions curriculum.
"Understanding Fractions" is designed especially for kids who learn math best when it is presented in small increments, with plenty of practice on one concept before moving on to the next. Each concept is clearly explained, with many examples. This scaffolded approach helps kids develop solid math skills and confidence.
Part 2 topics include: Identifying Proper Fractions, Improper Fractions, and Mixed Numbers, Writing Whole Numbers as Fractions, Finding Fractions on a Number Line, Changing Improper Fractions to Mixed Numbers, and Changing Mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions. Includes worksheets, quizzes, and a test.
Part 2 requires knowledge of basic multiplication and division.
"Understanding Fractions" is presented in several parts which are available individually and soon will be available as a bundle. Besides being used as a full curriculum, each part can stand alone as review or extra practice for particular topics. The following is a list of topics included in each part:
