PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

It is really hard to conceptualize what the impact of Buckley v Valeo is on campaign finance without experiencing it yourself.

So, students will use a connective device and a QR code scanner to take them to four separate conservative ads run during the 2012 Presidential campaigns. They are to listen to the ads, and figure out who funded them based on language.

There is a definition at the bottom of this activity that explains issue advocacy and express advocacy, as outlined in Buckley.

Students watch and analyze in this short activity that brings about some great classroom discussions.
