This is a lesson on how to create a natural looking landscape by using pencil crayons to simulate art/painterly techniques such as pointilism, hatching, stippling, etc. It will then involve some art-historical research, such as Impressionist works.
Emphasis is on the layering of grounds; fore, middle, and background, plus the insertion of at least 1 object, a house perhaps, as a focal point for emphasis.
Composition based on some principles of design is also a key element in evaluation.
