Product Description
I created this product in an effort to help my students understand that the value of one place-value position is 10 times as much as the value of the position to its right and one-tenth of the value of the position to its left.

I have found this product helps when introduced with the topic and then continuously used throughout the year to review. When I see students need intervention, we use a laminated version to routinely practice.

When laminated, students are able to move the number to the place of their choice, while visually seeing the model representing that place value.

I have found it helpful when having students answer questions similar to:

What number is 10 times as much as 8 tenths?

Or

8 tenths is 10 times as much as what number?
