Pronouns are an essential part of the English language, but for young readers and writers, they can be very confusing. ELL students often struggle with understanding pronouns and using them correctly. These activities provide practice in identifying singular/plural and possessive pronouns and the nouns they replace. As students focus on identifying antecedents, reading comprehension improves. Writing is clarified when students learn that improper use of pronouns leads to confusion and lack of understanding. Along with the practice activities, this file includes a quiz and a test. These activities can stand alone as a pronouns mini-unit or be used to supplement text book material. An answer key is provided.
