This presentation discusses text features, or parts of a book that help a reader better understand a text. In this presentation we discuss indices, glossaries, table of contents, maps, photographs and captions, bullets, subheadings, titles, timelines, tables, graphs, and font types (italics and bold). There are also several interactive examples in which students can practice using a table of contents, glossary, and index.
