Students perform a dihybrid cross using the traits of fur color and presence of whiskers in rabbits. For the punnett square, students color in the rabbit fur the appropriate color and add whiskers if they are a possibility. By coloring/adding whiskers to the rabbits where appropriate, students are able to make the connection between genotypes and phenotypes. After completing the cross, students list the phenotypes and the phenotypic ratio.
I'm fairly new to this site, so I would appreciate some feedback as to how you liked this activity! :) Thanks!
