This activity is a unique twist on practicing the various grammar edit marks (punctuation, capitalization, commas, omitting words or letters, and quotation marks). It's called "Dr. Fix-it" because the students are doctors and must "fix" the sentences. In this kit, directions are included, along with THREE levels of activities (1,2,3). Levels two and three have one page in common, though. The levels range from second grade grammar skills to 4th/5th grade level skills (depending on environment). What I personally do is copy the various levels on different colored paper and stick them in page protectors (instant dry erase surface). Students use thin dry erase markers to edit the sentences/passages and then a parent, teacher, or student can grade the work. If I send this home with students, or have another student grade it, I'll provide an answer guide, which is composed of me editing a copy in red pen for them to use. I do not include an answer guide in this kit. This is a great differentiated practice activity, centers activity, or take-home activity.
