This is the first lecture PowerPoint for a yearlong chemistry lecture series. This lecture covers what matter is and how it is measured. This includes metric conversions, density, temperature and pressure conversions, accuracy and precision, and significant figures. It includes example problems, Quick Check! sections, NGSS standards, and objectives.
Along with the lecture, a student handout of fill in focus notes is included and goes along with the lecture. It is 4 pages of fill in notes that represent each slide, and include a space for students to write an essential question, questions as they go through the lecture, and a summary.
Use the Focus Notes poster/printable (located in the Poster/Printables section of the store) to enrich your students' note-taking experience and incorporate review and critical thinking into the process.
Each document is able to be modified.
