The Everyday Mathematics program recently came out with their fourth edition for the Third Grade. Each unit has an end of unit assessment that is aligned with all CCSS for that specific unit. These units do not currently have a review guide at the end of each unit. Teaching students with learning disabilities and special needs, I feel that they specifically benefit reviewing concepts before an assessment. General Education students also benefit from reviewing math concepts taught. This is why I created an end of unit review guide for the Everyday Mathematics program. I typically display the review on the smartboard during class, and have hand-out copies for my students. These are great to complete as individual work, whole group lessons, or even to send home as homework or study guides. The review is formatted like the end of unit assessments, in order to ensure consistency for students. Each concept and standard is touched upon, and it has drastically made an improvement in my students mastery of concepts and test scores. This third grade Unit 1 review guide is a great resource and tool when teaching the Everyday Mathematics Edition 4 program.
