Get you students engaged with grammar practice with this new take on an old classic lesson - Grammar Corrections.
Grammar corrections are nothing new; however, this SKILLS FOCUSED approach adds the twist of formative instructional practices, so that students stay more engaged and pay closer attention to the specific skills required by the lessons.
During each lesson, students are required to keep track of how many of each type of error they correctly identify (missing commas, unnecessary commas, spelling errors, and capitalization errors). This will help them to prepare for the assessment and to monitor the progress of their own learning. This self-monitoring increases engagement and focus, and it also gets students to ask questions that they wouldn't normally think to ask.
