This game is called "Ouï-dire," which translates to "hearsay." It is an activity that focuses on listening and speaking French, in the form of pair work and along the lines of information gap. Students take turns listening to their partner in order to figure out what word or phrase they need to say next.
This activity corresponds to Unit 3, Chapter 4 of the curriculum that I designed. The instructional page is available for a free preview download. A cover page, instructional page, activity page (that can be cut in half: one half for player A, and the other for player B), and the answer key/script which shows what an accurate completion of the activity sounds like.
The phrases that this activity focuses on include school locations (classroom, gym, cafeteria), and the questions "Where are you going?" and "Where are you?" and their responses: "I am at/in..." and "I am going to..."
